No Nap

This is what happens when mom forgets to put you down for your afternoon nap.  You fall asleep at 7:00 in your highchair having only touched your supper and don't even finish your bottle. which NEVER happens.
She must have been REALLY tired cause she stayed passed out through a vigorous hand and face cleaning with a cold wet wipe. through the taking off of the body bib. through a diaper change AND into the pajamas. wow. that was the easiest bed time ever!

But 7:00?? not my ideal bed time, she will be up early tomorrow!!

I have tried and tried to move her to one nap....how is it done??  No matter what i do she will not sleep for more than an hour.  So i gave up and have been still giving her 2 naps. which are only 40 minutes.  so frusterating!  If anyone has any advice i would LOVE some!!

It is a hard adjustment. I have my girls stay up until lunch, feed them and then put them down for a nap. They only sleep for about an hour too. IF i'm lucky i'll get 2 hours out of them and ya it sucks but at least it's something! That's what I tell myself anyways.

cute pictures! whenever i put boston down later, he sleeps less....it seems like no matter when i put him down, he was waking up at 2:30, so i started putting him down earlier (no later than 12:30) and he still slept until 2:30! so maybe try the one nap earlier???? i have no idea though...every kiddo is different!

chloe must have been an angel today to have forgotten to put her down...boston is too crabby to try and skip a nap! :o)

try moving her nap back 1/2 hour, every day for 3 days. then for another three days, another half an hour (morning nap, obviously). do this until you get to about noon, then just keep her at that one nap. also, when you start doing it, put her down in the late afternoon for a while. even if she doesn't sleep, she will probably need the "quiet" time. that's just my two cents. lol.

love the pictures though. tired girl. norah wakes up at the same time every day, regardless of when she goes to bed, so i figure earlier is better for her and me! ha. good luck.

I agree with Kelsey, just try moving back her nap day by day. Austin did it all on his own, he one day just stopped taking a morning nap and decided a longer afternoon nap would do. He used to do 2 naps, both about an hour each, and now he does one afternoon nap for about 2 hours. Even at daycare, he stuck to that routine. Bed at 7pm, up at 6:30am (weekdays, for daycare), nap 11:30-2:30 or so. And on weekends, same routine but we put him to bed a little later so he can sleep in!

That is awesome! I don't think Ali has ever slept through anything. She started wanting to go to sleep at 7:30 or 8 back in August. I wish I could get her on any type of napping schedule but everytime I try something happens like her pooping or something that prevents her from taking a nap. She usually takes a 2-3 hour nap though.

Cute little Chloe, what a little Jem, and I would say just hold out until lunch then lay her down and hope for the best
